If you are looking to transfer your domain name from your current provider to us, the first thing you will need to do is make sure your domain is unlocked at your provider.

When transferring any domain please make sure the following conditions are met:

• Domain is at least 60 days old or 60 days since the last transfer
• Domain is unlocked at your domain provider
• Domain is not within any redemption or grace periods (i.e. expired)

With .UK domain names you need to change your domains IPS Tag at your current domain provider to ours (all capitals): HOSTMEDIA

Once the tag has been changed please place your transfer order below, please note once the tag has been changed the current domain provider will no longer be able to make adjustments to the domain.

.UK domain transfers are free of charge but does not extend the renewal date. The renewal date will remain the same but you can place a renewal order once your domain name has been transferred.

Domains such as .COM / .NET require an authentication code (known commonly as an Auth Code), you will need to ask your current domain provider for this code or if possible they may provide this from their domain management portal. Once you have this code you can start your domain transfer process using the button below.

To transfer your .UK domain name you will need your new providers IPS TAG, once you have this, you can login to your client portal and under the domain management screen use the 'Release Domain' option. You can then place your domain transfer order with your new provider. .UK domain transfers should be free at any new provider.

Your new provider will ask you for a EPP code (known commonly as an Auth Code), you can find this within your Host Media client portal under the domain management screen of the domain you wish to transfer. Send this code to your new provider and make sure your domain is unlocked in the client portal to avoid any delays
